Press Release Summary: Learning how to tame your Gremlin is a continuous process that empowers kids to overcome inner doubt that can discourage and defeat them. Jane Massengill, Director of the Gremlin Taming Institute, shares how to control Gremlins during an interview with Blended-Families.com on Thursday, 31st July, 6pm Pacific Time .
Press Release Body: \"You can\'t do that!\" \"Of course, you\'re going to fail\". Little Johnny keeps hearing these words whispered in his ear. It\'s coming from a Gremlin. A what?! A gremlin. A gremlin is a negative, critical, inner voice that communicates with you and tries to control you when you face challenges, conflicts, and problems. How do kids and parents control a gremlin? To answer this question, the coaches at Blended-Families.com will be interviewing Jane Massengill, Director of the Gremlin Taming Institute as part of their \"Ask The Expert\" series on Thursday, 31st July, 6pm Pacific Time.
Jane teaches parents and kids that a Gremlin is a sabotaging dialogue that undermines your self-confidence and prevents you from moving forward and making the decisions that are best for you. In blended families where kids are transitioning and perhaps being raised with conflicting parenting styles, Gremlin Taming is a skill and a tool they can use for themselves whenever they feel challenged or discouraged. It is a life long gift they can use repeatedly, with a sense of control, in every facet of life, with increasing competence and creativity. The more they do it, the better they become.
Jane Massengill became the Director of The Gremlin Taming Institute in October 2002 after ending over a decade of work as an independent contractor at the Amen Clinics for Behavioral Medicine in Fairfield, California. She maintains an active practice giving private lessons in gremlin taming to parents, and she hosts of the monthly \"Ask the Gremlin Tamer\" teleclass.
