Local Company Joins Elite List of Fastest Growing Private Companies

August 25, 2008 - Sweetwater, TN-White's Marble Works, established in 1870 in
Madisonville, Tennessee is excited to announce that it has been named to the 2008
Inc. 5000 list, an elite listing of the country's 5000 fastest growing private
companies. This list looks at the growth of the most important segment of our
nation's economy, privately held entrepreneurial companies. The companies on this
list represent the cream of the crop of America's small businesses.

"This is an incredible honor for our company, especially when you consider that our
company is one of the oldest family operated businesses in Tennessee," said Matt
White, CEO. "All of the credit for this goes to our outstanding management, sales,
and production teams. Without them, we would not be here today. Additionally, I can

The Inc 5000 list was based on percentage revenue growth from 2004 to 2007. To
qualify for the list, companies had to be independently held, based in the US, and
had minimum revenue of $200,000 in 2004 and $2,000,000 in 2007. Companies making
this year's hot list, posted online at www.inc.com/5000, have been praised for
continuing to drive the U.S. economy even in the face of the recent economic
slowdown. These companies reported aggregate revenue of over $185 Billion, and a
median three year growth of 147%.

Although White's Marble Work's has been in business for over 138 years, this is the
first time the company has been nationally recognized. Over the past few years, the
company has become one of the top producers of residential and commercial natural
stone products, including granite countertops, marble fireplace surrounds, stone
signs and memorials, and grave markers in East Tennessee. The company currently
operates production facilities in Sweetwater and Madisonville Tennessee and employs
over 30 people.

For over one hundred and thirty seven years and six generations, White's Marble
Works, Inc. has provided natural stone products to Tennessee and the surrounding
states. Over the past decade, we have greatly expanded our business and the products
we offer. This growth has allowed us to offer many additional products, all hand
crafted with the quality and high standards for which our company has always been

White's currently operates two divisions. The Memorial and Sign Division is still
located in Madisonville, Tennessee at 186A Warren Street, where we have operated
since the company was founded in 1870. In 2004, due to incredible growth, our
Countertop Division moved into a new 10,000 square foot manufacturing plant and 2800
square foot showroom on 113 Tech Drive in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
