Press Release Body: Advance Paper Enterprises, a two-year-old paper company owned by Tom Rogers and his son, Tom (TJ), will soon break ground to build a 60,000-square-foot production facility in Ripon’s Industrial Park. The new facility, expected to be complete in November of this year, will likely employ 36 people within the next two years. The father-son team also co-own Ripon-based Accurate Controls Inc., a company that develops integrated security systems for the corrections industry. They plan to catapult business at Advance Paper Enterprises 15-fold by expanding the company’s product offering and facility. “We have a new national contract, which will eventually make up about 80 percent of our business,” said Tom Rogers. Since inception in June 2006, Advance Paper Enterprises has grown into a $3.2 million business. The company was originally formed through an owner partnership that also included Drew Diedrich, co-owner of Diedrich Insurance Agency. Recently that partnership was changed to name just the Rogerses as owners in the company. “Drew was an integral part of our initial success with the company. His vision and financial contributions were critical to its start-up and growth for the past two years,” says Tom Rogers. Advance Paper Enterprises produces mill paper rolls in 72-inch and 60-inch diameters, which are used to create packaging, freezer and blue print paper, among other products. “We have three new processes going in and three new paper lines,” said Tom Rogers. “This should result in huge growth of the company.” The new Advance Paper Enterprises facility will be headquartered in Ripon to help boost the city’s economic growth and because it is home for the Rogerses. Father and son have contributed to the community in a number of ways, including working closely with a group to build Ripon’s economic foundation. “I believe if we can invest in our community to help its economy, we should do it,” says Tom Rogers. “The City of Ripon, the Council and the administrators are really backing our efforts.” The new, 60,000-square-foot facility will be located in the last available lot on Stanton Street, in the industrial park, and will feature 2,500-square-feet of office space, as well as areas for production, inventory, shipping and receiving. “We will start with around 12 new people to operate machinery,” said Tom Rogers. The company, which currently employs nine, is seeking experienced machine operators in addition to production managers and staff for shipping and inventory. Applications will be accepted beginning Oct. 1, 2008 at the company’s current location – 209 Hamburg Street, Ripon. For more information about Advance Paper Enterprises, call 920-748-3610.
