The audience will observe the live of an average urban wife and mother, Sondra Ackerman. Her life is turned upside down after discovering her husband Jack’s involvement in seedy and corrupt drug racketeering. Protecting her own life and those of her children makes normal living in Philadelphia impossible, since the choice to leave her husband and cooperate with the feds leads to the brutal murders of Sondra’s loved ones.
Choosing to continue in assisting in her husband’s capture brings the fear and eventually the reality of increased risk to her two vulnerable and innocent children. After turning to her best friend, Connie, and to the world of alternative health therapy, Sondra maintains her sanity where other traditional therapy routes have failed. Fleeing with her children into hiding through the federal Witness Protection Program, a web of rage, murder and deceit chase Sondra and her children from Philadelphia to Mexico and every journey in between.
The stakes are shown to be high as she decides to trust local and federal authorities to protect her physical being and deliver her family from harm. She strives to keep her mind safe and healthy with the help of the caring alternative community she has decided to depend upon.
