Racer Sammi is Well Up to the Task at Knockhill Racing Circuit

Press Release Body: 14 year old Clackmannan girl Sammi Tasker is looking forward to this weekend’s (Sunday 7th September) motorcycle race meeting at Knockhill Racing Circuit, near Dunfermline.
The event is Rounds 15 and 16 of the Scottish Championships and rounds 9 & 10 of the Kirkcaldy and District Motor Club Series who are also organisers of the Scottish Championships.
Sammi is currently lying second overall in the 666 Racing Formula 125 series where every young competitor rides identical Aprilia RS 125 machines and winning is down to talent.
She will be chasing the Series leader, John McPhee from Oban but will also be keeping a look out for her brother Andrew who is only two places behind in the Championship.
Already the first ever female winner of a National Formula 125 race, Sammi also proudly boasts the fastest 125cc lap of Knockhill for a female rider with a lap time a smidgen over 62 seconds.
Sammi and Andrew both receive the full support of their proud parents, Peter and Ann. Mum Ann stating “we do as much as we can to assist Sammi and Andrew but we are extremely grateful for all the help we get from family members and friends and of course, our sponsors who are brilliant”. Added Ann “This is a crucial weekend for Sammi and we are all looking forward to hopefully closing the gap on the leader”.
Other competitors looking for race wins this weekend include:
Thurso based Motorcycle racer Mark Cumming faces a 10 hour round trip every time he competes at Knockhill Racing Circuit, near Dunfermline in Fife but says its well worth the time and effort. Mark will line up on the 600 production grid aboard his Honda CBR RR this weekend at Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre.
Oban’s Mark McPhee will be riding his 185mph Suzuki GXSR 1000 in the Super stock class and will be hoping not to repeat his spectacular spill at the Fife circuit’s Seat Curves which occurred at an earlier round.
13 year old Brechin youngster Ewan Gray will be riding his 120 mph Aprilia RS 125 machine in the highly competitive F125 class where he currently lies 5th overall and is looking to improve on this on Sunday.
Milngavie motorcycle racer Alan Bryce is looking forward to this weekend’s (Sunday 7th September) motorcycle race meeting at Knockhill Racing Circuit, near Dunfermline. Where he will be riding his 160mph Suzuki GSXR supported by John Lind Racing in the 600 Production Series, one of the most competitive classes in the championships.
A full programme of racing action including Formula 125’s, 600cc Production Series, spectacular sidecars, 400cc Sports & Production bikes, Supersport 600’s, Mini-Twins, Superstocks and Classics will provide fans with a great day of 2 and 3 wheeled action.
Qualifying sessions will commence from 09:00 with racing immediately afterwards.
