Press Release Body: RALEIGH, N.C. – Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality (www.rockytophospitality.com), has announced that five Rocky Top restaurants will be participating in Dish It Up! 2008. The event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 2 – 7 p.m. at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary. Rocky Top’s participating restaurants include Bogart’s American Grill, Michael Dean’s Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar, The Twisted Fork and The Red Room Tapas Lounge. The Mash House Restaurant and Brewery, will be participating as a beverage sponsor.
Dish It Up! is a unique culinary event for the Triangle community that features several locally owned restaurants. Each restaurant is challenged to serve their healthiest dish that uses fresh and local ingredients. All proceeds from the event go to the WakeMed Foundation’s Just for Kids Kampaign, which is dedicated to raising funds for a new children’s hospital that is currently under construction on the WakeMed Raleigh Campus. Participants, attendees and their families will be invited to sample food from the local restaurants, enjoy live entertainment and take part in a variety of games and activities. A Dish It Up! cookbook will be available for purchase at the event that includes each participating restaurant’s signature dish.
Advanced tickets for the event will be on sale beginning Friday, Aug. 1. Tickets will be $10 in advance and at the gate. Children 6 and under will be admitted free of charge. Tasting and beverage tickets will be sold separately with prices of $12 for three tickets, $21 for six tickets and $30 for 12 tickets.
