RALEIGH, N.C. (October 7, 2008) – Beverly Baskin, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Eastern NC (BBB), announces the Fifth Annual BBB Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, October 13 at Devil’s Ridge Golf Course in Holly Springs. Proceeds will benefit the organization's Educational Foundation, a fund that promotes educational opportunities for residents living in eastern North Carolina.
“As we move into our fifth year hosting the tournament, the sustained support of the community still amazes me,” says Baskin. “As a result, we are able to continue providing free books to children through our Book Project, scholarships to students, as well as hosting educational seminars and workshops.”
First, second and third place team prizes will be awarded, as well as individual prizes for longest drive, straightest drive and closest drive to the pin. Participants will receive a complimentary boxed lunch, beverages and dinner after play. The putting greens and driving range will open for practice at 9 a.m., with the tournament beginning at 10 a.m.
