Press Release Body: When mentioning skiing in Bulgaria, the first name that comes is Borovets. Established at the end of the 19-th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian kings, Borovets gradually developed into a modern ski resort of high-class and luxury hotels, haute-cuisine restaurants and an excellent network of ski runs and lifts along the slopes of Rila Mountains, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports - from Alpine to cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon. The resort twice hosted World Cup Alpine skiing rounds, while the biathlon track is one of the best in the world. Situated at 1350 m. above the sea level, on the northern slopes of Rila Mountains among age old pine woods the first class resort is located at the foot of Moussala peak - the highest one on the Balkan Peninsula. All of you who'd like to experience the magic of Mother Nature may try to visit it - it is wonderful both in winter and in summer. The spectacular landscapes and the clean air leave the equal feeling of freshness and tranquility. The local people are open and friendly which adds to the unique atmosphere, typical for the whole region. Here one can really have great time in skiing. At night the bars and dancing clubs offer lots of exciting moments which give final touch to the delightfully spent day.
It is an Alpine resort, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports - from the Alpine sports to cross country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon. Its biathlon track is one of the best in the world. The ski runs in Borovets are located in three different regions: Sitniakovo, Martinovi Baraki and Markudjika, which is the highest one (over 2 500 m a.s.l.) with 4 difficult runs. For beginners just beside the Rila complex there are gentle nursery slopes. So there are good slopes for experienced skiers and for those who have never skied before. In brief the total number of ski runs is 45 km. The longest one is 5,8 km and the main direction of the slopes is north. The highest skiing area is 2 560 m a.s.l. Cross country tracks are 18 km long. There is one gondola lift taking you up to the highest ski area where snow is always abundant. There are also two chair lifts, over 6 drag lifts as well as a few baby drag lifts. Numerous ski schools are available at the resort. And it is always possible to ask for a private ski teacher. Of course this is much more expensive but through making this choice you will achieve better results in a shorter time. Actually the cheapest way for you will be to pre-book your ski holiday package incl. accommodation, transfers, ski lessons etc. In this way you will receive a better deal. Offers for ski and snowboard packages in Borovets are available at http://www.ski-bg.com. The hotels in Borovets are good and the majority of them have a fantastic location right next to the Gondola lift (e.g. Rila, Janakiav, Ela). More information about hotel accommodations is available at http://www.ski-bg.com. Food and drinks at the resort are at fairly reasonable prices. A basic menu like pizza+ beer will be approximately 5 Euro which is a lot cheaper compared to Alpine countries. Borovets is a party place with numerous possibilities to go out in the evening. And to have great time. Night life is really fantastic and what is more everything is within easy walking distance. Some people think it is the best place to go. A cheap place to go and get the pleasure of terrific skiing followed by a fancy night life. And have unforgettable days and nights. Everybody loves it. Access to Borovets from Sofia is very fast and a bit longer if you land in Plovdiv. However for private transfer options from both places you can check http://www.transferbulgaria.com
