GOAL USA ANNOUNCES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY IN THE UNITED STATES

20th ANNUAL GOAL BALL
Cipriani, Wall Street, New York City
November 7, 2008

New York, October 2008 EUR" GOAL (www.goalusa.org), an Irish-based non-governmental
organization dedicated to the alleviation of suffering amongst the poorest of the
poor and most vulnerable in our world - those who live on less than $1 a day.

GOAL was founded 31 years ago by Irish Journalist, John OEUR(tm) Shea. GOAL has been at
the forefront of the international response to practically every major man-made or
natural disaster worldwide and has been working for the past 31 years, spending over
$795 million throughout 50 developing countries, all on an exceptionally low
administrative cost.

The 20th Annual GOAL Ball will be hosted by former number 1 tennis player, Mats
Wilander and will be held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on November 7,
2008. The black-tie fundraiser begins with a champagne cocktail reception with
passed hors dEUR(tm)oeuvres followed by a 3-course meal. Guests will enjoy an open bar
from 7:30pm until late, live music, a live auction and a full casino. Last yearEUR(tm)s
ball was a record-breaking night, celebrating GOALEUR(tm)s 30th year of operation and
raising a phenomenal one million dollars. The live auction alone raised $358,000
with dinner guests bidding on items ranging from a South African Safari to a Wine
Tasting Holiday in Italy and an exclusive one-of-a-kind Marc Jacobs bag.

Afterwards, guests dug deep for the EURSpecial CauseEUR(tm) of the evening: GOALEUR(tm)s Housing
Project in Uganda. The auction-style round of bidding raised enough money to build
40 houses for HIV/AIDS affected and vulnerable families. We are pleased to announce
that in just one year, 570 houses have already been built. The effect on the
community has been immediate: the protection, support and improved living conditions
is providing a lifeline to children in Uganda, many of whom are being given the
training and skills to plan for a better future. This years EURSpecial CauseEUR(tm) has yet
to be announced but organizers will say it involves EURwater, health and children.EUR(tm)

Since its inception, GOAL has rescued over 100,000 children from a life of abuse and
misery on the streets of Calcutta. In Uganda, GOAL is currently constructing or
upgrading 2,000 houses for orphaned children and vulnerable families. GOAL is
currently providing assistance to 22,000 orphans and vulnerable children in the
Makoni District through support for their schools, as well as training for farmers
in conservation farming techniques and crop handling. GOAL is currently targeting
300 schools in slum areas in India providing them with clean water and latrines,
which will greatly improve conditions for over 120,000 school children.

GOAL believes that every human being has the right to the fundamentals of life:
food, water, shelter, health care and literacy. People are dying for want of those
basic rights in the developing world. GOALEUR(tm)s mission is to respond quickly and
efficiently with emergency supplies in a disaster situation.
