Press Release Body: Power Continuity Systems recently won a major upgrade for the UK operations of the Britannia Building Society Head Office. The power supply company helped the West Midlands building society, founded in 1856, install a new uninterruptible power supply system as part of a major overhaul of the head office in Leek, Staffordshire.
Britannia Building Society required a 100% totally resilient power protection system whilst running their existing operational systems live with a guarantee of no disruption to their services. Power Continuity Systems were entrusted with the design, installation and maintenance.
The Power Protection Upgrade required the removal of existing Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and replacing these with 1.25 Megawatts of UPS Systems providing N+2 Total resilience as well as installation of Diesel Generators providing back up to protect and power the whole system in the event of any National Grid power outage.
Power Continuity Systems protected the operational infrastructure whilst removing the existing Uninterruptable Power Supply System allowing the Britannia Building Society to work without any disruption, whilst its engineers replaced and upgraded the whole of the power protection Systems. Power Continuity Systems completed the works on time and within the allocated budget.
Today the Britannia Building Society has a state of the art 24/7 Power Protection system which is continually monitored and maintained by Power Continuity Systems.
