Press Release Body = CTIA Wireless IT, San Francisco, California, Booth #839 - October 25, 2004 - Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR - TSX: SW) today announced the introduction of AirCard® Manager, a web-based software solution for the Sierra Wireless AirCard® wide area wireless network card product line, designed to support enterprise customers that require an automated, seamless approach to software installation and end-user configuration. AirCard Manager is now available for use with the new AirCard 775 card for EDGE networks. AirCard Manager support for Sierra Wireless’ AirCard 750, AirCard 550, AirCard 555, and AirCard 580 products is expected later this year.

AirCard Manager is a centralized software solution that works in conjunction with Sierra Wireless Watcher™ client software. The product offers a suite of tools that allows IT departments to reduce the time spent on the software and modem configuration required when deploying large-scale AirCard rollouts to their field teams. With AirCard Manager, IT managers can configure and lock Watcher settings for multiple AirCard network cards within a single administrator interface and manage updates for an entire field team, minimizing errors and support time.

AirCard Manager allows IT departments to configure settings for different AirCard types through a single interface and seamlessly deploy custom configurations of Sierra Wireless Watcher™ client software. IT administrators can use the AirCard Manager software to pre-populate user profiles and configure Watcher’s features to serve specific organizational needs for their users, including high speed wide area wireless data network access, WiFi connectivity, Voice functionality, SMS parameters, and integration with Microsoft Outlook. Factory features can be enabled and/or disabled and locked down in Watcher to provide a consistent interface for end users and simplify user support.

Sierra Wireless is demonstrating AirCard Manager in Booth #839 at CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2004, taking place at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California, October 25 to 27.
