DirectRooms.com can reveal that the fashion world will be focusing its eyes on Madrid for the latest trends in the industry this September.

The 64th Madrid International Fashion Week will be taking place in the Spanish capital from 2nd to 4th September 2010.

Models will be taking to the catwalk wearing the latest designs from some of the world’s best known fashion houses as well as up and coming artists. The show will cover all areas of clothing from everyday wear to sports wear, as well as lingerie and accessories.

Attendees to the event staying in Madrid hotels can expect to hear all about the upcoming trends in colours, textures and garments for next season.

The show will be held at Madrid’s Parque Ferial Juan Carlos 1 (IFEMA) and will see buyers from both Spain and overseas looking for the latest trends from over 400 exhibitors.

The show also took place at the start of the year in February and there were more than 17,000 buyers in attendance. Approximately 1,400 people came from abroad and the large number of visitors expected this time will mean that demand for hotels during the exhibition is set to increase.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com, commented: “Madrid International Fashion Week is a showcase of some of the best new work from Spanish designers. Tickets for the biannual show sell out fast and so do hotel rooms near the event. People are advised to book their accommodation as soon as possible to secure their desired hotel.”

Tickets cost 30 Euros and the exhibition will run from 9:30am to 8pm.
