The Gender Academy is due to take place in Turin, Italy from the 21st November to the 2nd December 2011. This is an international event which focuses on work and employment and gender issues.

The event is a training programme which has been put together by the International Training Centre of the ILO and which has been designed to give professionals the chance to discuss issues and attend workshops, which are held in English, French and Spanish. The Academy is held for a period of two weeks and will include study visits and other events.

Turin is a popular tourist destination within Italy and there are plenty of hotels in Turin city centre to choose from. Those who are on a budget might be looking for more basic accommodation although there are plenty of hotels which have a higher star rating and which offer more in the way of luxury. The venue for this course is centrally located and reaching it should be no problem for most people on foot or by public transport.

Lek Boonlert, the Head of Marketing at Directrooms.com, says, “Taking part in a course such as this is a good way to broaden knowledge and skills, but ensuring accommodation is essential, particularly in a city such as Turin which receives thousands of visitors each year.”
