Halfords will be the first national retailer to have a QR code linking to a video of each of the twenty-six tents in its range.

Halfords has created 360° virtual videos of every tent and tent pack in its 2012 camping range. Customers will be able to access these videos through the product pages on Halfords.com; or by visiting stores and using a smartphone to scan a QR code next to the tent they want to see, from a tent menu on their POS.

Matthew Banks, Assistant Product Manager for Tents and Camping Accessories says:
“These virtual videos give our customers the opportunity to see a tent they want to buy from every angle, along with detailing, features and dimensions. It combats the problem of not having display models in-store where floor space may be limited.”

Notes to Editors:

380 stores will have tent POS by 1st March, all videos will be live by 1st March.
