Iconic Camden venue to host 30 days of free gigs this September, with discounted London hotels available from LondonTown.com.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Thrifty music lovers are applying for tickets to this month's iTunes Festival, which offers free concerts by some of the world's biggest stars to lucky entrants. Previous years have included performers such as Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Adele and Amy Winehouse, who made her very last public appearance at the festival. This year's shows will include Jack White, Norah Jones and Usher.

The idea behind the iTunes Festival is simple: a series of concerts take place, each offering free entry to applicants, and each show is filmed, taped and made available on iTunes for download.

The festival has a reputation for shrouding itself in secrecy. This year is no exception, with many acts still as-yet-unannounced. The Roundhouse also has a habit of announcing splinter events close to the launch night, so it's worth keeping an eye on their website for updates.

The iTunes Festival will begin at the Roundhouse on September 1st, running until September 30th. Tickets are available from the Roundhouse website, or via LondonTown.com, the capital's premier booking and information site, which has also announced details of discounted London hotels close to the venue.

Among the London hotels on offer, the Melia White House Hotel on Albany Street (less than 30 minutes walk from the Roundhouse) is offering double and twin rooms at a 50% discount, bringing the cost of a night's stay down to just £131.

Equally as close to the Roundhouse, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Grafton Hotel is offering double rooms at an 81% discount, making the nightly rate only £66. Both hotel deals are available exclusively through LondonTown.com.
