October 04, 2012, 2:09 pm -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Three years after his untimely death, the music and magic of Michael Jackson is returning to the stage thanks to world-renowned avant-garde performance troupe Cirque du Soleil. Entitled ‘Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour', the show will come to London this month, running at the O2 Arena from October 12th -16th.
Jackson was purportedly fascinated by the French-Canadian group of visual artists, whose shows – including the Beatles-inspired Vegas mainstay ‘Love' - are eagerly anticipated by a global fanbase. Jackson was an early devotee, seeing them perform in LA during the late 80s, and regularly took his children to see the troupe in their native Montreal.
The new show, written and directed by Emmy-winner Jamie King, will tour North America and Europe during 2012 and 2013. Tickets for the London shows range from forty to one hundred pounds, with shows kicking off at 8pm.
