The stand-up comedienne plays Kensington’s Royal Albert Hall in October

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- On the 22nd October 2012, one of the United States' most revered and often dumb-founding stand-up performers and female acts is returning to the UK with her unique brand of tell-it-like-it-is comedy and anecdotes.

Joan Rivers, who turns 80 next year, is renowned in the west for her hardworking attitude and energy – which has seen her work in recent years as an Emmy-award winning talk show host, comedienne, jewellery designer, playwright, author and Tony-award nominated actress – as well as for her raspy NY accent and candidness about her own – and other celebrity foibles.

The Royal Albert Hall seems delighted to be welcoming her in mid-October, after a sell-out success in the UK in 2005, which was her last time visiting the country on tour. The show begins at 8pm on 22nd October this year, with tickets priced between £28.50 and £37.50.

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the capital's most famous and high profile venues, located in SW7 Kensington Gore, a few minutes walk from the major Victorian museums with which its shares its heritage and architectural traits.

LondonTown.com, the internet's number one site for London, is encouraging Rivers fans to make a night of it with some very reasonable deals on London hotels both in the Kensington area and further afield.

The Kensington Close Hotel and Spa has a double room in its luxurious 4* property for £62 on the night of the 22 nd October – perfect for walking home after the Rivers show and relaxing in style.

Customers can also save 48% on the Grange Strathmore Hotel London, an elegantly restored townhouse situated in the heart of Kensington, which has double rooms from £145.
