Press Release
Body = Indianapolis, IN - October 8, 2005 - On Saturday, October
8th, 2005 the annual 2005 Midwest Models Expo will take place in
Southfield, Michigan at
the Holiday Inn from 10 AM to 6 PM. The expo has come to be known
as the perfect opportunity for present and future models to gather
together, network with
photographers, see fashion industry exhibits, open new doors for
work opportunities and expand their modeling experience. As participants
and attendees join forces
together, partial proceeds collected at the expo will be donated
to the American Cancer Society.
As cancer has touched everyone’s lives, in one-way or another,
James Bryant the founder of the expo and photographer of Howell,
Michigan, has a heart-felt
appreciation for the event. In 2001, James lost his stepson to cancer.
“We are glad to have this chance to give back to the ACS for
all the help that they provided
us when we needed it most”, states James. He also mentioned
that, “this is a chance for Midwest models to come out, gain
exposure, work on their profiles and learn from their peers while
having fun! Most of all, the attendees will be working together
to help others in their time of need.”
The expo not only generates revenues for a very worthy cause, but
it provides many models, photographers and booth participants new
business opportunities. Some of
the new-to-the industry gain contacts, exposure and a sample of
what the industry is all about. The veterans can meet newcomers
and keep up-to-date in the industry.
Oliver Cole, FANTASY ON FILM, www.xsellpage.com/FOF, expressed his
gratitude for the event. ”James, Thank you for ALL of your
HARD WORK!! The modeling expo, to me was a huge success!!! I met
lots of new contacts for my business. I look forward to any other
events that you may do and will support them in any way that I can.
On a
personal note, it was great to finally meet you in person, thank
you again for your hard work and the efforts and support from your
family as well.” This is just one
of the many thanks received from previous shows.
Cheri Crawford, freelance model of Carmel, Indiana and one of the
executive producers, emphasizes this as a “time to be in the
limelight, unlock career doors
and get some real working experience as the models walk the expo’s
runway.“ She also stated, “this as a golden opportunity
to meet local models and see faces of the
industry, work on etiquette, build social skills and develop confidence.
Who knows which one of these models are on their way to a larger
venue, such as New York or California.”
This year the expo will also include three big-ticket items, all
at one time. There will be a fashion show, exhibit area and photography
contest. These are not the only drawing factors. The biggest excitement
comes when one of the models wins the $250.00 Cash Grand Prize!
The expo has a modeling competition where models throughout the
Midwest walk the runway in their favorite fashion and compete to
win the $250.00 Cash Grand Prize. All competition models equally
have the chance to win
a myriad of other prizes donated by reputable businesses from the
Midwest area.
