Simple Star to license Aardvark Records singles for PhotoShow

Press Release Body = Aardvark Records has the pleasure of announcing the provision of singles by Satya Graha and Everett Young to Simple Star, the manufacturer of the popular home multimedia platform, PhotoShow. The use of the music clips (25 to 45 seconds looped) includes integration throughout the PhotoShow product platform. PhotoShow is a consumer imaging software product that allows users to easily manage and share with their digital photos. One of the most popular features of the platform is creating and sharing musical slideshows by choosing your album of photos, effects, transitions and song clips. These slide shows get shared in a number of ways, but primarily through Simple Star's online service.

When a recipient watches the shared slide show, the artist whose song clip is used is completely credited and a link is provided to enable the user to 'learn more about the artist' or 'get music by this artist'. Simple Star provides imaging software and services to many partners (Comcast, Pentax, Cablevision, Walgreens, Nero, etc) and these song clips will be used in 'partner builds'. The structure of the partner program enables artists to reach millions of end users.

The tracks included in the licensing deal are: 'Lunar Dreams' (Satya Graha) plus 'Guess What Happened' and 'The Ground' (Everett Young).

More than a few of these will be the next generation of companies to shape the music industry. Our releases are being bundled with music-enabled wireless devices, artists’ videos have been distributed freely online and one-off promotional tracks have been distributed with no strings amongst P2P sharing sites. These promotional activities have paid dividends. Far from hurting our artists’ album sales, these strategies have seen
our on-line sales grow month on month. The upshot is Aardvark has developed strong long-term relationships. eMusic is one such valued relationship and we’re can’t say how pleased we are for all of their support and goodwill."

Satya Graha and Everett Young’s singles will be available on the next release of PhotoShow.
