ATL. GA; Greek composer Demetrios Katis, whose discography contains some of the greatest epic orchestral and dramatic works the world has ever heard, seems poised and collected about his entrance into the world of film scoring.

Perhaps this is only to be expected from one whose biography in music goes back to the early age of 17 and with his epic symphony composition, "The Blazing March, from Genesis to Europe", unanimously approved by the board of directors of the
educational institute to be included as part of the high school curriculum in music.

This new challenge, composing the original soundtrack motion picture score for the multi-million dollar production "Bronze And Blood", is one that Demetrios is taking in his stride. "I welcome this new challenge" he says in his deeply accented voice, "we must always be growing, until now I have always composed to my vision, now I am composing to someone else’s. That vision begins with the writer of the script and ends with that of the director, and I find that to be wonderfully rewarding in that it is also a means of growing and expanding my own musical vision".

Creatively Demetrios is without a doubt the forerunner in the world of composing dramatic, orchestral and symphonic music, many of his existing works can be found on EMI, Virgin Classics and Polygram and in film music libraries around the world, so
it would only seem like foresight on the part of producer Christopher Devereaux to have Demetrios Katis on board for this epic film about the legendary "Cuchulainn" ferocious warrior champion of Ireland. "Yes why not?" Demetrios asks with a shy shrug and self-deprecating smile, "this is a film that almost feels like it was written with my kind of music in mind, I had that feeling from when I first saw the script, so yes, it is a good match."

Like the great history of Greece itself Demetrios rise through the music industry has not been without it's share of setbacks and pitfalls. When pressed about his experiences he remains placid as if it is only to be expected for anyone in the music business. "Let me tell you something, even through the dark ages for Greece when the sons of Heracles sought to conquer us, eventually through adapting and growing good came of it. From those sons of Heracles came the great Macedonians and Spartans."

Look out Hollywood a son of Heracles has entered the arena well prepared to claim his stake in the field of epic and dramatical works.
