Summary = Independent Professional Carwashes Across the Country
to Conduct Wash U.S.A. Event
on Sept. 24th to Benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation
Press Release
Body = Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Roanoke – On Sept.
24, professional carwashes across the country will join together
to implement Wash U.S.A., an event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundationâ.
We at Clean Machine are excited to be participating in this exceptional
event, and would like to invite the Charlottesville, Fredericksburg,
and Roanoke communities to join us in our efforts.
A rain date of Oct. 1 has been set for the event. Wash U.S.A. began
in 2001, when it raised nearly $40,000 for the International
Committee of the Red Cross with the participation of more than 100
East Coast and Denver, Colo., carwashes. Over the last three years,
through the participation of more than 700 car washes and the support
of several industry sponsors, Wash U.S.A. has raised more than $455,000
for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This event is an excellent opportunity
for leaders in the carwash industry to work
together to move the image of the industry forward, as well as help
some very special children in the process. We encourage washes across
the country to participate in this exciting event. "We are
overjoyed to be a part of this extraordinary partnership,"
said David
Williams, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
“Thanks to the efforts of professional carwash owners and
operators, more children across the country will experience unforgettable
moments of hope, strength, and joy." Several carwash industry
sponsors deserve much recognition for their dedication to
the success of this event. The Wash U.S.A event would not be possible
without the support of platinum media sponsor, Professional Carwashing
& Detailing magazine of Latham, N.Y.; platinum signage sponsor,
The Jim Coleman Company of Houston; founding sponsors Dultmeier
Sales of Omaha, Neb., Innovative Control Systems of
Nazareth, Pa., and Simoniz of Bolton, Conn; and gold sponsors Cleaning
Systems, Inc. of De Pere, Wisc., PDQ Vehicle Wash Systems of De
Pere, Wisc., Sonny’s Enterprises, Inc. of Tamarac, Fla., and
Unitec Electronics of Elkridge, Maryland. In the Charlottesville,
Fredericksburg, and Roanoke areas, Clean Machine has already signed
up to participate in this exceptional event. To find a participating
carwash near you, visit www.washesforwishes.org or call
