Altair Data Resources Named a 2005 Music City Future 50 Company

The annual program recognizes the area's 50 fastest growing, privately owned companies for their achievements in helping drive economic growth in the region.

It's a trend he expects to continue. As a spin-off of a national direct marketing agency for home equity loans, Altair specializes in serving the mortgage industry. It has been compiling and fine-tuning its mortgage database for more than a decade. Today, that database holds 74 million records on homeowners, including mortgage data from more than 3,000 counties.
"We also continue to invest resources assuring that our data center meets or exceeds the most rigorous requirements of our financial service clients," said Hadaway. "This includes: installation of the latest generation of physical and electronic security architecture; doubling the size of our data storage capability; and developing secure delivery methods to distribute marketing data to the correct channels as quickly as possible."
As a result of these investments, Altair has been able to create two new divisions this year: Moving Prospects and Sonar Response Marketing. Moving Prospects focuses on identifying new homeowners and new renters and delivering fresh, accurate consumer data on these households to large retailers and other companies targeting new movers. Currently, several Fortune 100 companies are using and testing these databases to acquire new customers. "This is a major new initiative for us," said Hadaway. "By piggy-backing on our high-performance homeowner databases, Moving Prospects can deliver fresh, highly targeted new mover data faster and more cost-effectively than our competitors."
The other new initiative Altair is rolling out this year is Sonar Response Marketing. This division offers a turnkey direct marketing program for lending institutions that incorporates custom databases, analytics, Web-based branch marketing, and campaign management.
"Through Sonar Response Marketing, we can deliver customized, big-company solutions to medium-sized companies at an affordable price," said Hadaway. "Customers love the concept because it improves their marketing ROI tremendously."
Altair also plans to continue to build upon its core business by providing direct mail and telemarketing lists, custom analytics, lead-generating Web sites, data processing, campaign management, and online list ordering to mortgage lenders, insurance agencies, childcare providers, entertainment companies, restaurants, and more.
