E-Office Professionals Takes The Lead Of Wal-Mart

Released on = October 16, 2005, 1:31 am

Press Release Author = E-Office Professionals

Industry = Small Business

Press Release Summary = The consultancy reorganizes-wants to become the one-stop-shop for business services.

Press Release Body = E-Office Professionals is temporarily discontinuing the very services that put them on the map.

When the company first opened in 1999, its service offerings were office-oriented."We focused primarily on data entry, answering service, and general office services that you could get at Kinko's. But, our services were much cheaper than Kinko's and other companies offering the same services. That's what made us stand out among the
local businesses, which, at first, accounted for a major portion of our revenue," says E-Office Professionals' marketing director, Annie Douglas.

The company later made more of an online presence in an effort to expand its customer base. "The goal was to promote our data entry service as an alternative to traditional staffing. Our strong point was, and still is, that our clients automatically save money when outsourcing with us because they are not responsible for payroll taxes. If our client had an employee do the same work, of course,
payroll taxes would have to be paid. We're talking savings of at least $700 right off the top. And, this does not even include salary. Our aim, when signing a client, is to offer our services at a price of at least half of what they would ordinarily pay. So, if you're not going to hire that extra data entry operator at minimum wage, but go with E-Office Professionals instead, you're saving at least $5,000 just in
wages that you won't pay to the employee."

Today, E-Office Professionals uses that same appeal to expand its client base-especially for its newer services. Until the recent decision to cut back on less profitable services, the company's service offerings included marketing, human resources, data entry, programming, web hosting, and accounting.

"Lately, we've been overwhelmed by the success of our IT department. We recently began offering web hosting and design packages. Of course, much of our overall success is because of our costs in comparison to competing firms. We emphasized this in our promotions for web design and hosting packages and it's been crazy. There's been a huge response and luckily our staff can pick up this unexpected workload. But, because we're already in the process of reorganizing, and at the same time, we don't want to miss out on a good thing, we're taking a step away from major marketing and human resources projects. We'll do this for a while, until we know
exactly where we're going with the company. We're trying not to spread ourselves too thin. So, for now, we're just going to focus on the smaller projects-data entry, web design, web hosting, and maybe some smaller marketing projects."

The company does not expect the decrease in activity in other divisions to affect overall company profits at all. "The projects that are the most profitable are the projects that we are nearly booked with. So, it's all going to work out great in the end."
