Four conferences in Puerto Rico will discuss telecoms major issues in the Caribbean and Central America markets

Another conference on its second edition, the Prepaid Forum will get together experts from Digicel Jamaica, Cable & Wireless Barbados, Comcel Haiti, Orga Systems, Comverse and independent consultants, such as Melissa Harris, president at Telecom Training Corp., Jose F. Otero, president at Signals Consulting, and Vishal Currie. The 2006 edition will concentrate discussions on the strategies to increase prepaid services revenue and usage, to maximize distribution and recharge channels for increasing customer loyalty and profitability. Broadband Caribbean & Central America
Mapping out broadband strategies applied by players, identifying trends and opportunities to create competitive services are the proposals for this conference, organized by the first time with focus on the Caribbean & Central America markets. The event will offer to the audience an industry overview, including business potential, the role of regulation to stimulate broadband growth, the future of wireless broadband and much more. Remarkable speeches from C. Courtney Jackson, the deputy director at the regulation office in Jamaica, and Melesia Sutherland Campbell, regulatory advisor at Cable & Wireless Jamaica will point the Jamaican program to encourage broadband adoption. Another meeting focused in the Caribbean and Central America markets, the conference will get together the industry experts to identify and overcome actual and future fraud threats and thereby safeguard operators´ margins.
