Godsend or Hoax - Controversy Over New \"Gas Pill\" Fuel Saving Additive from BioPerformance
Now approaching just 4 months since its inception, BioPerformance Inc.\'s meteoric rise has carried with it a trail of vociferous endorsements as well as strident criticisms. The company has thus far weathered the attacks with no ill effects. Their product is a pill or powder additive that reportedly causes gasoline or diesel fuel to burn more efficiently, resulting in improved mileage, performance and lowered emissions.
Fontana, California - 4/3/2006 - \"I am on a mission to create 1,000 millionaires in BioPerformance, something that has never been done by any company in this Industry!\" -- Lowell Mims, President of BioPerformance, Inc. With the company on track to hit $161 million in sales in its first year, Mr. Mims\' vision may well become a reality despite the company\'s detractors.
A competitor recently threatened to plead with the Court to issue a Cease and Desist order against BioPerformance. The competitor, whose product is a liquid additive alleged to have similar properties, claims that BioPerformance has violated their patent. However, no such action has taken place. Many independent distributors of BioPerformance feel this is a frivolous threat, since the competing product is liquid, toxic and flammable, as compared to BP Fuel, which is a pill or powder, non-toxic and non-flammable.
There have been other detractors of this product as well - mostly individuals who have published their critiques informally in online blogs and forums. Still, to date, there have been no formal actions filed against this ambitious and fast growing company as far as this writer has been able to determine. However, to bolster its product\'s credibility and head off further attacks, BioPerformance Inc. has had third party ISO 9000 certified lab tests done, the results of which are available on their corporate website. They have also implemented a policy of not accepting testimonials unless they are sworn to on a notarized affidavit.
With it\'s impressive growth to total sales of well over $13 million as of this writing (over $6 million in March alone), commissions earned by its roughly 30,000 distributors in excess of 60% of that figure, and no end to their continuing success in sight, the controversy will likely continue. Meanwhile, the company and its distributors continue to enjoy the financial fruits of a success which continues to flourish amidst public concern over the price of gasoline and diesel fuel, and socio-political interest in reducing America\'s fuel consumption and air pollution. That, combined with shrewd marketing and an enthusiastic and growing team of distributors throughout the country, has this company on the winning side of the controversy thus far.
