The certification audit was conducted by a lead assessor of BSI MS with over 40 years of experience in quality management. The TL 9000 assessment was organized for MERA by BSI MS CIS, the division of BSI Management Systems in Moscow, Russia.
Upon a comprehensive and thorough revision that embraced nearly all MERA's organizational units and respective business processes, the assessor has acknowledged that the MERA Quality Management System (QMS) is compliant with TL 9000 Standard requirements for provision of an outsourced software development, testing and maintenance services. TL 9000 is the most influential Telecom Industry quality standard developed by the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum as the industry\'s extension to ISO 9000. The audit has also confirmed MERA's QMS compliance with ISO 9001:2000 requirements as the baseline for TL 9000. Prior to the certification audit, MERA had carried out a great amount of preparatory work to bring its quality management policy and practices in line with TL 9000 Standard requirements. MERA designed and documented a set of internal processes to ensure that its R&D operations comply with the guidelines set down by the standard, as well as developed a solid framework for ongoing collection of TL 9000 metrics.
