Press Release Summary = An advanced task scheduler / automation tool for Windows
Press Release Body = VisualCron is a task scheduler and monitoring tool which controls and runs processes in your computer, automatically.
In VisualCron, which is designed to administrate a Windows system, one or more "Jobs" are added by the user. One job contains one or more "tasks" which may be handling of recurring or event driven tasks, monitoring of processes, database updates, command execution, backup, maintenance activities or report generation.
Each job contains one or more "triggers". A trigger may be a specific time, interval or event in the computer system. An event may be a file change, a process that is started or a service that is stopped.
When a job or task is being activated by a trigger, a "Condition" may control the internal flow of tasks. The existence of a file, its content or a process are examples of conditions that may determine which task that will be activated. Also, different tasks may be activated depending of the result of the previous task.
Each job may be connected to one or more customized messages, "Notifications". The message may be showed as a popup window, written to a file, sent with an email or inserted in a database.
Visualcron consists of a Server and a Client application. The Server application is a Windows service which runs in the background. The Client application is executed on the Server computer or on another computer. The Client can be securely connected to the Server across the Internet. Every event is updated in the Client in real time to reflect the current Server status. Also, the functionality level can be restricted to certain users.
Other significant VisualCron features are the easy-to-use graphical interface, the advanced monitoring functions, the high security level and the customized reports.
VisualCron is translated to many languages and has customers all over the world. Some examples of customers are: US Court, NASA, Lufthansa, Honeywell, Eon and University of Edinburgh.
One user example is the German environment organization that uses VisualCron to collect environment and pollution data at certain intervals. Another example is the consultancy company Atos Origin which assembles customer reports at certain intervals with VisualCron.
Behind VisualCron is a Swedish company, neteject.com, with roots in Kista, the "Silicon valley of Sweden".
VisualCron is be downloaded from the Internet and may be used for free during a 45 days trial period with full functionality. It is licensed per server and a license is priced from $45.
