Press Release Summary = Mount Juliet, TN - Blessed Belly, a Christian-based unique mother and baby boutique, has announced the opening of its first retail store. Bringing a unique blend of maternity and baby products and parenting support with a Christian foundation, this first Blessed Belly will be the model for future stores.
Press Release Body = Blessed Belly was conceived over five years ago with careful planning and attention to detail, opening its online doors in May of 2005 with www.blessedbelly.com. The initial concept was simple: to be blessed and bless others, but it grew into something more. Enough to fill an entire store.
"Pregnancy, birth and parenting are such wonderful, meaningful and exciting times in our lives but they can also be emotionally and physically exhausting as well," says co-owner Summer McFarland. With this in mind, Blessed Belly began offering not just products, but also mother-to-mother support that every new family needs.
Blessed Belly's retail offerings are a unique mix of mid-to-upper class products, including maternity and nursing clothing and lingerie from labels such as Olian, Nicole Michelle and Eve Alexander, breast pumps and supplies from Hollister, Medela and Whittlestone, natural care items from Earth Mama Angel Baby, baby gear from OiOi, Fleurville, Maclaren and more. There are several items under $20.00, like a five-piece embroidered baby clothing set for $14.99 and Preggie Pops for $3.32, but there are also $60.00 shopping cart covers and the very popular Maclaren's from $109.99.
"When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter," explains Summer, "life was going by full force and it seemed as though everything that could happen did happen. If it weren't for the wonderful support of people around me with Christ-centered values, I don't know where I would be now. They were such a blessing." With limited support and finances, Summer turned to support groups online, and the idea of having a similar way to bless others in this most important time of life began to grow.
The support at Blessed Belly is like no other... Between Summer and her co-owner, best friend and sister, Amber Krueger, there are six children under ten and a combined experience of nearly twenty years in pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum issues, parenting and nutrition. Unlike department stores, not only can you ask the name and price of stroller, breast pump or tea, you can learn how it works, how it doesn't and anything else in between. "If you are having a bad day, let someone know," says Summer. "Talk to one of us, call us, email us. Amber is terrific; if you say you have a problem, she drops it all and will pray with you about it right then and there. You aren't guaranteed tomorrow, so just let someone know. Chances are we've been there!"
