Press Release Body = Fresh Software, a leader in innovative software designs, has
released an update to its popular network monitoring software, X-NetStat
Professional v5.

X-NetStat Professional version 5.49 now supports WinPcap packet sniffing to improve
program performance and compatibility among network adapters. WinPcap is not
required for use however, and the original X-NetStat packet sniffer is still
available by default. Packet sniffing can be switched off on demand, and connections
will still be detected.

Additional updates to the software have been implemented based on user requests.
These include color and font customization for the connection table, an improved
user-interface for its Automatic WHOIS lookup tool, compatibility with LogRythm
logging software, the ability to determine whether a connection was initiated
locally or remotely, and the termination of several TCP connections at one time.
Other new enhancements and features have also been introduced.

Fresh Software LLC, a Wisconsin-based shareware and freeware vendor, was founded in
1998. Its other programs include Port Magic, FreshFind, DirSpace, Sentry, and
Warden .htpasswd manager for Apache.
