The company opened this week Monday 19th June 2006 and deals with temporary,
contract and permanent positions in everything from banking and legal to hospitality
and retail.
Recruitment director Mrs O\'Flaherty said Select Recruitment was all about treating
candidates and clients equally and with the same level of professional service,
regardless of their position or status, something she said she felt could be lacking
in the recruitment industry.

She said: \'I feel a great amount of satisfaction from working with and helping
people, and I enjoy matching and placing candidates to the right jobs. To encourage
and support people when taking that next career step, together with helping clients
fill those crucial placements, is what it is all about for me. It is not about
targets - it is about people, and making sure the right people are in the right
place, that way, everyone is wins.\'

A former human resources officer and recruitment manager, Mrs O\'Flaherty has also
completed the Certificate in Personnel Practice. She said: \'I have had a unique
insight from all sides of the business. My experience allows me to understand what
both candidates and clients require.\'
Mrs O\'Flaherty will be working with company director Sean O\'Flaherty, dealing with
all aspects of the recruitment business. She said she was looking forward to
implementing some innovative new practices. \'By enjoying close working relationships
with our clients we will obtain an excellent understanding of their needs, which
helps us to spot good opportunities for people,\' Mrs O\'Flaherty said.
She said the business was all about having a young, professional and friendly
approach, and the website, www.selectrecruitment.je, designed by Sinaptik Solutions,
would reflect that. The setting up of the company has run smoothly, and Mrs
O\'Flaherty said they had drawn the experience of Mr O\'Flaherty, who runs his own
established accountancy firm.
\'Sean set up his own company, O\'Flaherty & Co, some time ago and has helped other
businesses in various industries to establish themselves in the Island,\' she said.
\'The most important thing I\'ve learned is that when setting up a business, you
should choose something you enjoy doing, and recruitment is that something for me.\'
