Colome started in the auto industry in sales at the family VW dealership in 1976. After showing a promising career in sales Colome opted for a different road and ventured into the leasing arena. After the brokerage firm, Colome was a trainer/consultant for Half A Car, an international automotive training company for Ford, Lincoln/Mercury, Mazda and Volvo dealerships represented in 20 countries. Colome worked Half A Car through the acquisition by Reynolds & Reynolds before his tenure at Autobytel.
