Press Release Summary = Calgary's work at home moms (WAHMs) can now find affordable start-up advice, networking opportunities and marketing ideas.
Press Release Body = (Calgary, AB) August 21, 2006 - Calgary's work at home moms (WAHMs) can now find affordable start-up advice, networking opportunities and marketing ideas, thanks to Calgarywahms.com, an online business club designed exclusively for them.
Britt Raposo, mother of two little girls and founder of the forum, knows that most work at home moms don't have a lot of money to spend on business development. She explains, "Most clubs I\'ve considered joining were well over two-hundred dollars per year to join. I don't have that kind of money to fork out." Ms. Raposo keeps club memberships relatively low - from twenty to fifty dollars a year.
Members meet regularly online and IRL (in real life) to encourage each other and share their ideas. Sara Dahlman, owner of Meadowlark Marketing, has been a member of the WAHM forum since its launch in April 2006. She writes, "I never knew what I was actually capable of until I joined this group. The creativity and gung ho attitude that is produced when we get together in person or in the forums help motivate and inspire me to do things I never thought I could."
Other mom-owned companies - Meadowlark Marketing, The Mompreneur Magazine, Crystal Ink and Willms Business Solutions - have partnered with Calgarywahms.com to provide members with discounted trade show booths, advertising, graphic design and writing services.
