Press Release Summary = DAUGHTERS GROWING UP WITHOUT FATHERS TAKE CENTER STAGE AT ESTHER PRODUCTIONS, INC. NATIONAL DAUGHTER-DADDY REUNION TOUR
Press Release Body = An unprecedented movement to restore the sacred relationship between daughters and dads, while arresting pronounced community problems returns to the District this Fall. The National Daughter-Daddy Reunion Tour, the signature project of Esther Productions, Inc. opens October 6 and 7, 2006 at the National City Christian Church, 5 Thomas Circle Northwest. The two-day event features specialized training institutes for professionals and workshops for fatherless daughters. Dads interested in reuniting with their daughters will also be given the tools and resources to ensure a successful reconciliation.
The two-day launch is followed by a series of in-school lectures, monthly support group and a campaign to create community reconciliation centers in faith-based and other institutions.
The issue of father absence and how it affects daughters is rarely discussed in the fatherhood movement. Esther Productions, Inc. has dedicated itself to changing that. The National Daughter-Daddy Reunion Tour is the prime vehicle the organization uses to increase public awareness about the important role fathers play in their daughters lives, to assist daughters in identifying and reducing the negative consequences of their absence; to instigate the reconciliation of daughters and once-absent fathers; and to advocate for programs and funding to create daughter-specific fatherhood programs.
Esther Productions, Inc., is a nonprofit, DC based organization founded in 2004 and formally incorporated in 2005.
The National Daughter-Daddy Reunion Tour is funded in part by CIGNA Healthcare, MedStar Health, The Summit Fund of Washington, and the DC Healthy Relationships and Marriage Coalition in conjunction with the "Together is Better Campaign." Additional support is provided by Emerge, D.C., LLC, The National City Christian Church, The Downtown Cluster of Congregations, DC Action for Children, and Friends of the National Daughter-Daddy Reunion Tour.
