Press Release Body = (Federal Hill, Providence, Rhode Island, USA) The Italo American Club of Rhode Island, possibly the country\'s oldest continuous fraternal Italian American organization, is celebrating the premiere of the documentary film ITALIAN AMERICANS AND FEDERAL HILL at the Columbus Theater, Providence , Rhode Island .
Doug Caniglia, chairman for the Italo American Club\'s celebration, remarked today, "We\'re honored to be part of this movie premiere and the work of producer Jon Raben. It is our pleasure to be representing the largest ancestral group in Rhode Island ."
Club members and guests will be attending the celebration on Friday, September 29th 2006 at 8pm , the first of a three event debut. The documentary features Italian Americans from Federal Hill and throughout Rhode Island . "It was emotional." said Ralph Campagnone, referring to the film, "to see what our grandparents went through, not knowing the (English) language and working hard to see their children and grandchildren realize the American dream." (Ralph Campagnone is past President of the club and is also featured in the film.)
In celebration of Rhode Island \'s Italian Heritage Month (October), the events at the Columbus Theater will include samplings courtesy of Gasbarro\'s Wines and Scialo Bros. Bakery, while the Italo American Club will be celebrating with their own pre and post theater festivities.
The Columbus Theater is located on Broadway in Rhode Island \'s "Little Italy" Federal Hill, Providence , Rhode Island .
