Press Release Summary = Ni Enterprise Manager incorporates a customisable dashboard that enables instant monitoring, analysis and understanding of all end user activity on laptops/work stations regardless of location
Press Release Body = (Glasgow, United Kingdom) Netintelligence, the web based Security Company, has today announced the availability of a dashboard that provides key decision makers with a graphical display of the status of the entire computing estate including usage and key performance indicators (KPIs). The Ni Enterprise Manager dashboard is accessible via the web, and quickly and clearly conveys critical service and business information to ensure that an organisation's security policies are not breached.
The dashboard overlays all the detailed individual user/end point data that is contained within Ni Enterprise Manager, to provide summary-level information of the entire network condensed to a few views. Ni Enterprise Manager includes a Dashboard Builder tool that enables customers to create customized views which detail their specific areas of personal interest and concern, selecting the criteria from a pre-populated list of 15 industry standard metrics. Views can include Top 10s of messenger users, web users, blocked sites, virus threats, most used applications together with other metrics such as email volumes, blocked categories, software changes, web site traffic, local virus incidents, application usage and messenger traffic.
In addition to the live updates, each view contains data for the previous 7, 30 and 90 days providing instant trend analysis capability.
The data that populates the dashboard is collected in real time from every end point that has a Ni Enterprise Client installed upon it. Each time the end point connects to the internet, be it via the LAN, an internet café or a hotel room, the user/activity data is sent back to the Ni Enterprise Manager databases. It is then made available for viewing through the customer's personal secure on line Control Centre.
Once areas of concern have been identified, via the dashboard, the customer can drill down further and view the detailed reports for individual users or machines. Should any action be required, the customer can change/create and apply a policy via the Control Centre. The new policy will then be distributed, via the internet, to every Ni Enterprise Manager Client installed on the customers end points.
Phil Worms, Director Product Marketing stated: "The introduction of this Dashboard provides our customers with relevant real time information pertaining to the use and status of their entire computing estate, including their off network mobile workers - on demand. Traditionally this type of information has been obtained by IT departments trawling through log files or through individual point solution control panels - but until now, it has not been available with the simple click of a mouse. If anyone is in any doubt as to the benefits of the Ni Enterprise Dashboard, I would simply ask this question of them: What exactly are your away from base employees using their laptops for at this very minute? If they had our service installed they would have the answer within seconds."
