Press Release Body = (Franklin, TN - October 10, 2006) The SeeMore Putter Company, whose putters became legendary with PGA Tour superstar Payne Stewart's record-setting performance in winning the 1999 U.S. Open, has been purchased by accomplished golf executives Jim Grundberg and Jason Pouliot.
The new owners plan to optimize SeeMore's proven, patented RifleScopeT technology in an expanded, innovative line of putters in 2007, including a 100% milled series designed for the tour. The 2007 line will feature improved shapes, feel and finishes with the Riflescope's precision alignment system known by a visible gunsight on the top line.
SeeMore's patented RifleScope alignment technology allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process resembles locking radar onto a target.
Under new leadership, SeeMore plans to capitalize on the legacy of the 1999 U.S. Open and its putters' consecutive Tour victories since then. In the Open, Payne Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. In 2003, a Nationwide Tour pro set a season record for fewest average putts per green in regulation, an incredible 1.699, while putting with a SeeMore.
SeeMore was tied for the number one brand played by the 2006 US Ryder Cup team. Two Ryder Cup rookies qualified for the U.S. team while playing SeeMore in 2005 and 2006. In fact, one of the breakthrough rookies made nine birdie putts over 19 holes during team play, a highlight for the American team.
Grundberg and Pouliot were instrumental in the development, marketing and sales of the successful and revolutionary Odyssey and Never Compromise putter lines, growing Odyssey from a market share under 5% to over 40% before handing off the brand to Callaway in late 1999. The SeeMore team also includes experienced PGA Tour representative Pat Sellers.
"Our team is knowledgeable and passionate about putters and we love SeeMore's proprietary RifleScope technology," says Grundberg, Managing Partner of SeeMore. "SeeMore is a diamond in the rough. We are already well into the process of new product development. We plan to reestablish SeeMore's prominence with the Tour and the world's best players," says Grundberg.
SeeMore putters will be custom made at the company's headquarters in Franklin, TN. SeeMore has a newly redesigned website at www.seemore.com
