Press Release Body = ATLANTA - Recruitment Research Expert Jim Stroud has released "The 2007 Resume Sourcing Survey," a searchengine analysis of online resumes and where to find them. Inside this survey HR professionals will discover such information as which searchengines are best suited for finding resumes, which industries are best represented online and the most popular formats for resumes. Among the more notable findings were the fact that Technical resumes were not the most populated resumes online; Yahoo has a bigger index of resumes than Google or Live and Live outperformed both Google and Yahoo on certain types of industry resumes.
"The 2007 Resume Sourcing Survey was created out of curiosity more than anything else," says Jim Stroud. "I leverage the internet for leads constantly and am always looking for ways to improve upon my process. It occurred to me that I could probably improve my production if I knew which searchengines catered most to the type of prospect I was searching for."
Jim Stroud chose Google, Live and Yahoo for his study as they were the most popular searchengines online. "There are literally hundreds of searchengines online I could have included," he said, "maybe I will include them in the 2008 Survey."
The 2007 Resume Sourcing Survey is a free whitepaper that is available from his website - www.JimStroud.com. Within two days of its release, it was downloaded 1,000 times and passed around from recruiter to recruiter via emails and links from various blogs online. Within the survey is contact information for Jim Stroud and an invitation to contact him directly.
"I am amazed at the phone calls and emails I have received so far," Jim Stroud says. "I really like networking with people and coaching them on how to search the internet. It is a passion for me."
The 2007 Resume Sourcing Survey is most relevant to recruiters within the United States. However, a survey targeting recruiters across the world may be coming soon.
"If the positive comments and calls continue, who knows?" Jim Stroud says. "It should not be too surprising if an international edition were to debut over the next few weeks. I would like to see The Resume Sourcing Survey become a highly anticipated annual publication for the HR community worldwide.
