Press Release Body = About a month ago Global Resorts Network came out with a special deal for people purchasing a 3-year membership. This offer is still on, but it will be $398 for hot weeks in the database instead of $298 starting April 7th. This doesn\'t effect the lifers (lifetime memberships) just the people who want luxury vacation travel benefits of the gold membership. Here is the message straight from the horse\'s mouth! (GRN)
GOLD Membership:
On March 1, our Launch Date, Gold 3 Year Memberships were sold at $1495.00 and as a launch special the price was further reduced to $1295 until May 31st. The extraordinary response to the price change has validated the new program beyond what was anticipated.
It is important to note that the commissions from sales remained the same even though the new 3-year membership sells for a regular price of $500 less. There are still two $1,000 commissions paid from every Platinum ($2,995) sale and two $500 commissions paid from every Gold ($1,495 or $1,295) sale. However, since the cost of membership was so significantly reduced the travel benefits also had to be reduced.
Instead of a Lifetime of Unlimited vacations and 3 guest weeks per year for a Platinum Membership the Gold Membership is a 3-year membership with 3 weeks of vacations per year and no guest weeks. 3 weeks of vacationing a year at the greatly reduced costs offered to our members is still an outstanding value for the average family.
While the response was very positive for the most part, there has been significant feedback from our travel partner. They feel that making the memberships more affordable on the entry level was fair and desirable except perhaps on one point - since the $298 pricing for Hot Weeks in the travel program is subsidized by the Lifetime Members\' higher membership fee, the $298 pricing will be reserved for Platinum Lifetime Memberships only.
Accordingly a change is being made. The price of Hot Weeks for Gold Memberships will be $398 beginning April 7, 2007. All Gold Memberships with confirmed payments prior to April 7, 2007 are unaffected by this change. They will continue to pay $298 for the Hot Weeks since that was the price advertised when they joined. Only new members starting on April 7 are affected. Of course, once the new Gold Members from April 7 and onward upgrade to Platinum they will enjoy the lower $298 price for the Hot Weeks.
