Press Release Body = New York, April 19, 2007 - DataArt, a high-end software outsourcing company, announced completion of Intellifix.com, an online global marketplace of computer skills. The new solution allows users to find human technical support online.
Registered users in need of technical support can search an online database of engineers registered with Intellifix.com who are qualified to resolve users' technical problems. Once the match takes place, a connection between the user's and the engineer's computers is established, allowing the latter to fix the user's problem remotely, providing the tools for complete online technical support. The system also allows desktop sharing for user training and demonstrations, saving hours of phone waiting.
Though easy in concept, the idea was a challenge to implement. Since most modern networks are equipped with firewalls, a special rendezvous server was created to allow computer access. This server would collect connection requests from users and engineers and match their requests accordingly. Once the connection is established, the engineer is granted restricted access to the user's desktop by the user. Since all actions are permission based this keeps the user in complete control.
The Intellifix.com Web site includes a database for engineers' registration and promotion, a powerful search engine for users in search for technical support, and a secure payment terminal integrated with PayPal.
