Indian Healthcare Sector Set to Boom with Indo-British Tie-Ups

medical sector, genetic disorder services in Kolkata, medical software, training and
overall into the public-private partnership (PPP) venture\", Kevin McCole, British
Deputy High Commission, Kolkata said this in a statement that was published by
IndianMuslims.info on 5 March, 2007.

McCole said that NHS (National Health Service) of Britain, with US$ 100
Billion’s annual budget, was also eager to invest in PPP ventures with
India’s healthcare system. Discussions were underway with the government and
Planning Commission of India as per McCole.

Besides British firms showing their interest in making investment here, Indian
medical technology firms are also looking up to export equipment in the UK.
