Orizin Technologies launches Jtrack, the RFID inventory system for jewellery manufacturers

By using an RFID based system, manufacturers would be able to collect data from hundreds of items in few seconds. Unlike barcode, a complete tray load of jewellery and RFID tags can be inserted into Orizin's Jtrack and data can be captured from all of them at once. The system eliminates the painstaking and time consuming process of scanning individual items increasing the staff productivity by ten to fifteen times.
"This is yet another first for Orizin, which has already successfully addressed the need of retail, IT assets, Library management. Jtrack will help jewelers and retailers to drastically reduce the time to take inventory and improve the productivity of the staff", said Prashant Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer, Orizin.
The company is looking at implementing this product in approx 70 companies in the current fiscal.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is a wireless technology that is being used for tracking and identification. It gives capability to every object to be networked, to be identified whenever required without the need of line of sight. RFID is touted as the latest identification technology that overcomes several limitations as inherited by traditional barcode system like tracking stationery items one at a time, inability to detect hidden items and so on. The company also provides other products for jewellery segments like hand-held inventory reader that can collect data from hundreds of jewelleries and diamonds in few seconds for stock verification, and RFID tags of various dimensions (2cm*2cm, 1.5 *0.8cm) for tagging jewelleries and diamonds.
