Press Release Body = Petersburgh, NY - April 2007 - The Industrial Products Division of Taconic will feature TacWeld 69 tape and fabric as a release surface for PVC window and door frame fabrication at PACex International on May 8th - 10th in Toronto, Canada.
TacWeld 69, a grey PTFE coated fiberglass material with silicone adhesive, is used as a sleeve to cover heated platens in the manufacture of vinyl windows. The non-stick surface of the material prevents hot PVC from sticking to the platen during the welding of PVC profiles. The release quality of the PTFE surface maximizes the life of the sleeves and reduces machine down time. TacWeld 69 also provides an improved end product as it facilitates weld quality.
Increased wear resistance, abrasion resistance, cut through resistance and puncture resistance make this durable material the trusted choice among window fabricators for improved productivity. TacWeld 69 performs at continuous temperatures of +260° C, offers superior release and is available in custom pre-cut pieces or in standard width of 1000 mm. TacWeld 69 has been developed for use in various types of welding machines.
Taconic's line of PTFE coated fabrics, belting materials and pressure sensitive tapes offer high performance in the packaging, food processing and material handling industries, which are the focus of the PACex show. These products provide a host of benefits that enhance operating efficiency for fenestration and other industries.
For nearly fifty years, Taconic has also served the aerospace, apparel, chemical, textile, paper and plastics industries with high quality PTFE coated fabrics, belts and tapes.
