Fresh off the Steven Spielberg/Mark Burnett reality series THE LOT, the multi-talented Tamela D'Amico is casting a spell on Hollywood. How appropriate, since her recently launched production company La Strega Entertainment takes its name from the Italian word for "Sorceress."
With the trailer for her film Volare dominating thelot.com website in the "most viewed" category, even though she is no longer on the Fox series, she has gained international popularity. This has ignited global interest from financiers for a political/religious feature film, which she is developing, promoting World Peace. In addition, Ms. D'Amico and her business partner, actress/screenwriter Tristan Carrasco have the feature films CHICK FLICK, FLAPJACK & BLUESMAN, and KING SEZ I on their development slate.
As if that is not enough to keep one girl busy, Ms. D'Amico has released her debut jazz album, The Tamela D'Amico Album, Executive Produced by television star Peter Krause (HBO's Six Feet Under, ABC's Dirty Sexy Money) whom she first met while working as an assistant to his former manager. The album is produced by Grammy winner Jimmy Hoyson and arranged by Grammy nominee Chris Walden. Her sassy and sexy fresh take on the standards have led to several label talks.
