Press Release Summary: You can now ask a therapist - Dr. Robert Burkham - question about therapy and how you can get the most from your therapy sessions.
Press Release Body: Four years ago Dr. Robert Burkham launched a website to provide high quality, practical information to therapy clients so they can get the most out of their professional help. Dr. Burkham offered his book, The Therapy Triangle, for sale on the site and two years ago added a feature where visitors can send in brief questions about therapy anonymously and have my answers posted on the site.
This week, Dr. Burkham launched a new service on the site called Getting Dr. B\'s Help. Visitors to the site are able to confidentially email Dr. Burkham with a thorough description of the issues they are dealing with and their experiences in therapy. Dr. Burkham then emails them back with any questions he might have and then he will email them a practical, personally-tailored report about how they can make therapy work better for them. He is not attempting to do therapy via email. Rather he is acting as a consultant to the client so they can avoid wasted therapy sessions and make treatment truly life-changing.
Many therapy clients do not understand the purpose of therapy and therefore do not always get what they are looking for from it. However, if these same people educated themselves on how to find a therapist, what to except from therapy, and how to make the most of their sessions, they would soon realize just how helpful and powerful therapy can be.
