Press Release Body: If you have you\'ll know that there are plenty of companies all promoting products like full color business cards, custom business card, raised print business cards and embossed business cards...just to mention a few.
How do you make an educated choice based on so many options?
There is a new buzz in the air that is aimed at helping to educate business card printing buyers make better decisions. MakeMoneyPrinting is a website unlike any other website. The admin staff of MakeMoneyPrinting volunteer their time to review the most popular business card printing sites on the internet. This is not just an average review that says yes or no. These website reviews actually include:
- In depth videos of the mystery shopper\'s experience - A scoring system that includes: Easy of use, Variety of Products, Functionality Getting Help, Speed and user friendliness, CMYK Printing, Toner/ ink Jet based Printing, Thickness 12 point, Thickness 14 point, Thickness 16 point, Matt Finish, Protective Coating, Total Score, Total Price. - Complete website info of reviewed sites- date of registry. in-links, popularity, traffic trends, blog lines, edu links, cached dates, etc.
I interviewed to owner of this website to get a better feel for the objectives of the reviews and it was a very interesting meeting we had. It turns out the owner has been in printing and graphics for over 30 years and employs a small staff of 6 very knowledgeable employees. When they are not busy taking care of clients they are instructed to review other commercial printing websites that Google ranks in the top 5.
So what is so interesting about that?
Good question! The objects of these reviews are 2-fold
1) Provide people with truthful information so they can make educated decisions. 2) Compare human reviewed results with Google search engine results.
In all reviews that are executed they start with querying Google. For example the first consumer comparison was done by entering the search phrase into Google \"business card printing\". The mystery shoppers were posing as business card printing (not copying or sublimation) buyers that required 1000 full color litho printed business cards. In the Google result pages that are produced at the time, the top 5 competitors are reviewed. I don\'t just mean a fleeting glimpse, I mean from start to finish and all points in between.
Here\'s why I think this can help allot of people that have come to rely on a search engine telling you what\'s the best:
Google\'s top 5 websites included (in the correct ranking order)
MakeMoneyPrinting Reviewer\'s did not agree with Google:
1) Printplace- scored 57 out of 75, priced at $38.29/ 1000 2) 123Print- scored 48 out of 75, priced at $114.90/ 1000 3) overnightprints- scored 45 out of 75, priced at $49.95/ 1000 4) VistaPrint- scored 45 out of 75, priced at $67.97/ 1000 5) BusinesscardPrintingOnline- scored 22 out of 75 and had no product to sell
Based on the buying habits of internet users most tend to trust the top ranked competitors. Based on that, if you listened to Google you just costed yourself an extra $70 on one order AND do not have as many options such as free coatings, multiple thicknesses and amazing pricing.
After spending a couple hours with the owner and touring a rather impressive print operation, this concept started to make allot of sense to me. I have bought business cards many times before. At the time the price was right and the quality was good, but I did not shop around. Who has hours to spend researching a $39- $114 item?
This site is really unique because they don\'t actually sell a product, just free reviews and advice. You want to talk to a print specialist no problem you can contact them by a private contact form (no tel) or post on the website negative and positive reviews yourself. They will be reviewed by human volunteers and made public if important to the consumer. I actually put them to the test and emailed them a tough technical question for a sheet fed printing press and they responded with an accurate answer that we actually used in production.
I do wonder why some websites appear to do allot of work for nothing and tend to look for underlying promotional objectives. In this case I could find none! No advertising on the site, no products to sell and very insightful if you are buying a product they are reviewing. I give this site a thumbs up and would highly recommend giving them a visit before you buy a printed product.
