Press Release Summary: Global Education announced today that it has expanded its Virtual University catalog to include Mortgage Broker Continuing Education Courses
Press Release Body: Global Education announced today that it has initiated its Mortgage Broker Continuing Education program in four states: Florida, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, and California as Phase One of its multi-stage nationwide online mortgage continuing education program. "We are pleased to complete the first phase of our online nationwide mortgage continuing education program as part of our Real Estate Education Vertical," says Michael T LeCornec, Founder and Executive Director of Global Education Financial Institute.
The mortgage brokerage industry has expanded dramatically over the past decade and as such many state regulators and professional associations are now imposing continuing education requirements for their brokers. Global Education is committed to serving the continuing education and license preparation needs to all sectors of financial services industry as a whole and plans to specifically address the needs of the mortgage brokerage community in the United States. "Our catalog offers courses in Fair Housing; Liens, Taxes, and Foreclosures; and Closing and Settlement courses to name a few. "Quality material, timely information and efficient course completion is a high priority for mortgage brokers and therefore a high priority at Global Education," says Director LeCornec.
Global Educations hopes to complete phases two and three in 2008 which will further expand the states GE is authorized to operate its mortgage continuing education program. Many unseasoned mortgage brokers may be reluctant to continue in the industry during this difficult cycle, thus having continuing education registrations take a dramatic downturn. If that's not enough bad news, there is pending legislation (HR3915) introduced by democrat Barney Frank that has the potential to cripple the mortgage brokerage industry and ultimately raise the cost of obtaining mortgages for consumers.
Michael LeCornec goes on to say, "We are equally committed to providing mortgage brokers the same quality education that we provide to the insurance, securities and real estate even during this difficult period for the mortgage industry." Global Education is proceeding with the belief that the passage of HR3915 is remote, but then again one never really knows for sure considering the current political climate on Capitol Hill.
