HartzStone Stone Care Program. Ed Hartz, the President of HartzStone, and Steven
Berr, Vice President of Sales and Marketing have long recognized the need to protect
the investment that homeowners make when purchasing and installing stone in their
homes. "Traditionally, the stone restoration and maintenance companies have been
overlooked until the stone reaches a seriously dilapidated state," said Mr. Hartz.
"With the stone industry's recent emphasis on the care and maintenance of natural
stone, HartzStone has taken the next logical step by creating and implementing this
unique program." HartzStone is currently distributing The HartzStone Stone Care
Program to stone and tile shops, architectural firms and general contractors
throughout the New York metropolitan area, thus giving them the tools to educate and
satisfy all of their customers.

The HartzStone Stone Care Program is comprised of three components:

Post Installation Services: This step includes professional cleaning that will
remove installation residue and soil as well as proper treatment with the
appropriate, penetrating sealant.
Regularly Schedule Cleaning: This step will remove soils and stains before they
contribute to more serious deterioration of the stone. This is accomplished by
using professional cleaning materials that reach deeply into the stone and powerful
water vacuums that pull the dissolved soil and moisture out. Light abrasives and
brushing techniques are employed as needed.


Regularly Scheduled Sealing: This step will serve to protect the stone surface and
prevent serious damage. Proper application of a high quality sealer matched to the
stone and the environment will provide protection and ease everyday cleaning.
