Press Release Summary: Productivity measure, analysis and benchmark software
Press Release Body: MeasureProductivity is a program designed to help measure and improve productivity. It is a not a spy program, it will not tell how do other people work, it will not record keystrokes; it is a self-examination program, which helps to measure and control user's own productivity.
There are some key concepts behind MeasureProductivity which make it really useful. First, there are "Groups". Users should think about groups as roles they play when work with computer. There might be a role of webmaster or there might be a role of manager responsible for finances.
When user works as a web-master he or she uses some web-page editing software, some graphical tools. With MeasureProductivity user can associate certain software tools with his role using various filters. For instance, it is possible to filter by application's caption, executable path or name.
One can associate any keyword with any role. For instance, if user has a word "finance" or "money" in caption of any window, the program might consider this as a role of Finance Manager.
User don't need to specify all relationships before starting program, instead, first it is good idea to run the program for some time and only then assign any special associations between programs and roles.
The program doesn't require to setup just one profile, it is possible to setup more different profiles. For instance, one profile specific to manager's role and other specific to the role of researcher.
There are three report types available in the program. First, advanced report, it will contain all the data about processes that user run, including applications' captions and details associated with roles.
The Standard report will have only the most important information about roles user played and time that was spend on the role. This report is great, if the goal is to share it with someone else.
Invoice report will contain only information that is useful for billing customers. If user will specify the hour rate, the program will be able to tell how much should the customer pay for this kind of work.
What can user do with reports he have from the program? The first and the easiest is to check report and find out what tasks require more time, probably there is a good idea to think about optimization of these tasks. The second possibility is to benchmark reports from different users against each other.
