Press Release Author: Anzera properties
Industry: Real Estate
Press Release Summary: Kochi: Anzera Properties, which has concentrated solely on real estate development so far, plans to expand into related industry sectors. The company is in the execution stages of launching a chain of high-end furniture stores. The ratio of the ownership in the new company is split between a stake of 30% to be held by Anzera Properties and 70% held by private investors in the U.S. and U.K. The company expects to have a turnover of Rs. 4 crores in the first year. As more stores are rolled out in other parts of Kerala, turnover is projected conservatively to reach Rs. 25 crores in 3 years. The company expects to have a pan-India presence within five years.
Press Release Body: With the first one to be opened in Cochin within the next 3-4 months, the stores will carry only imported furniture and will have exclusive items not found locally. Though the furniture will be high-end and of world-class quality, pricing is expected to be at great value for money, especially in relation to the high prices charged for locally produced or imported furniture. Said Mr. Ziad A. Rahman, CEO of the new entity, "I have seen the products available in the market and believe people are yearning to get great products at a great price. We think it is a shame to see people pay so much money, only to get shoddy or mediocre products." The company has started working with existing homebuyer clients in the provision of furniture for their homes.
Through a tie-up with a renowned Interior Design and Architectural Consultancy in Kuala Lumpur, they are providing Interior Design services to existing clients, along with providing quality imported furniture and accessories. "It is a natural extension for us to get into this business, since not only do we have a passion to create beautiful homes, but it fits into our philosophy of providing great customer service and value for money. Our customers are our brand ambassadors and advocates. Our entry into providing furniture and design services further reinforces the relationship we have with our customers, which in turn strengthens our brand. As it is, our brand equity is primarily with a select demographic of high-end customers and this will help us get even more high-end customers for our homes." A spokesman for the company said that pricing for locally available furniture is over-inflated at the moment and of poor to mediocre quality. Hence the company is confident of being very competitive, especially since the furniture being brought in will be of much higher quality and yet priced lower than what is available in the market. Furthermore, since Anzera is already in the residential development business, they have an audience that is looking to get quality furniture for their new homes. Provision of furniture coupled with interior design services will make it much easier for Anzera's existing customers, who are mainly NRIs based in the U.S., Japan, U.K. and other parts of Europe. Most of them have indicated a preference to get their homes completely finished with all furnishings and in a ready to live-in condition, rather than wasting valuable time and money hunting around for quality furniture in the local market.
