Press Release Body: Tel Aviv, Israel, January 31, 2008. Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education and Research Institute (www.kabbalah.info), the largest group of Kabbalists in Israel sharing the wisdom of Kabbalah with the entire world, is proud to announce the 2008 International Kabbalah Congress taking place at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds February 3-6, 2008. This year\'s congress will host over 2500 guests from 53 countries, making it the largest multicultural bonding event of the decade. With the goal of spreading a universal message of love to the world, the three day gathering will be broadcast live via the internet with simultaneous translation to English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish.
An International Kabbalah Congress is a gathering of Kabbalah students from all parts of the world who come together to take part in live lessons with foremost Kabbalist Rav Michael Laitman, PhD, discussions, seminars, workshops, cultural evenings, meals, and many other festive activities with the aim of increasing the spiritual connection between one another, and humanity at large.
The purpose of Kabbalah is to attain spirituality-to reveal the complete picture of nature, achieve world peace, eternal life and unbounded fulfillment-while living in this world. These goals are possible only by transforming our inborn egoistic nature to the quality of giving to the other. For this to be realized, a special environment of friends willing to relinquish their self-concern, and unite for the sake of fulfilling each other's spiritual aspirations is needed.
The theme of this year's congress is unity and dissemination: unity stands for the congress's aim to increase the spiritual bond among friends, and dissemination stands for the means of spreading this message of unity to increase the spirituality of humanity as a whole.
The 2008 International Kabbalah Congress participants will hail, in alphabetical order, from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Dominic Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, Holland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldavia, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Yugoslavia.
Bnei Baruch is a diverse movement of many thousands of students worldwide. In recent years, the group has grown into a global movement of international volunteers engaged in a vast range of educational projects promoted through the internet, broadcast television and film, presenting genuine Kabbalah sources in a contemporary style. The essence of the message disseminated by Bnei Baruch is unity of people, unity of nations and love of man. According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, if we make room for these values, we will discover that we possess the power to put aside our differences and unite. In consequence, we will attain spirituality, meaning strengthen the spiritual ties that bind all people, as well as humanity and the whole of creation.
The authentic wisdom of Kabbalah, hidden for millennia, is now stepping out. It has been waiting for a time when citizens of the world would be sufficiently developed and prepared to implement its message. Today it is emerging as a message and a solution with the power to unite the factions in and between the nations and bring us all, individuals and as societies alike, to a better state affecting all facets of life: social, economic, educational, environmental and global.
